Comedienne Rachael Harris, one of the most recognizable faces of VH1's "I Love the [insert decade here]" series predicts that when she sits down to riff on the current era, she'll be talking about May-December romances (so not hot since the November split of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore) and the hot trend of gel manicures -- you know, the kind that stays on for a really long time? Also heating up in 2012 is Harris' career. The "Hangover" actress was recently nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her turn in the upcoming comedy "Natural Selection," is set to guest star on upcoming episodes of Zooey Deschanel's "New Girl" later this month, and has just shot a hilarious new video for "Funny or Die."
"I feel like underdogs are going to be hot this year," the spectacle-wearing funny lady told omg!. And Harris may be right. Aside from her nomination, the dramatic comedy "Natural Selection," which was shot in 18 days in Austin, Texas, won seven awards at the South by Southwest film festival even though it had "no budget." It's the story of a devoted, religious housewife (Harris), who forms an odd relationship with the ex-con biological son that her husband, who recently had a stroke, has secretly fathered.

Before that movie begins opening in theaters in limited release in the spring, Harris can look forward to "New Girl," where she plays the vice principal of the school where Jess (Zooey Deschanel) teaches. "I'm obsessed with Jess," Harris revealed of her character. "I like her and I really want to be her friend. And I am the least likely person Jess would want as a friend. And so, I kind of work my way into her life and she and her roommates are forced to deal with me. Very, very fun."
As for the Funny or Die clip, well, anyone who's ever seen a prescription drug commercial will have a good laugh over this one. It's a spoof about all that fine print -- "the 85 different side effects" that are possible from each drug -- about what could happen to you after ingesting ... Florida orange juice
