Neighbours star Ashleigh Brewer has revealed that her alter-ego Kate Ramsay is set to make some massive changes in 2012.
The 21-year-old hasn't had the best 12 months following the death of Mark Brennan (played by Scott McGregor) and putting her career in jeopardy after kissing a student, but the new year gives her the push she needs to kick-start her life.
"After the year she has just had with her boyfriend dying, and then kissing Noah and losing her career, she's fed up and not going to take it any more, so she sets about making some radical changes which will have a huge impact on the direction of her life," the actress told the soap's official website.
Ashleigh - who has signed a new contract to remain on the Australian soap until March 2013 - hopes that a new love interest will be written in for Kate, as she needs "a stable boyfriend who will hang around".
